Dr. Al Sears is a medical doctor, a board-certified clinical nutritionist, a strength coach and an ACE-certified fitness trainer who’s helped transform the bodies of more than 60,000 people using his patented P.A.C.E. program.

Dr. Sears created P.A.C.E. in the 1990s as a way to help rehabilitate the injured hearts of his patients. He knew the path to a strong, powerful heart was not in long-distance running or “cardio” exercise. So he began asking his patients to do short bursts of activity, followed by rest that progressively got more intense as time went on. And P.A.C.E. was officially born.

Since then, P.A.C.E., which stands for Progressively Accelerating Cardiopulmonary Exertion, has received world-wide recognition as a more effective, more exhilarating path to a strong heart, robust lungs and a naturally lean and effortlessly energetic body.

In 2004, Dr. Sears published The Doctor’s Heart Cure where P.A.C.E. was used as the exercise component with other easy-to-follow solutions that effectively eliminate the risk of heart disease, high blood pressure and stroke.

Expanding on the fitness principles in The Doctor’s Heart Cure, Dr. Sears published PACE: Rediscover Your Native Fitness in 2006. He revealed the dangers of aerobics, “cardio” and long-distance running and gave specific direction on how to do P.A.C.E.

The success was then followed by his next book, Dr. Sears High Speed Fat Loss in 7 Easy Steps. In this book, he used the principles of PACE along with “native” eating as two of the seven easy-to-understand principles to effectively burn fat and get lean.

In 2010, Dr. Sears published P.A.C.E.: The 12-Minute Fitness Revolution that shatters the myths and misconceptions about health, aging and fitness.

By exposing the flaws of mainstream medicine and pioneering new solutions through innovative approaches to exercise, nutrition and aging, Dr. Sears continues to empower the lives of his patients and readers through his books, newsletters and regular media appearances.
